Ocrolus intelligence
Ocrolus intelligence gives underwriters access to network-level insights directly inside each Book. By analyzing merchant activity across thousands of SMB loan applications processed through Ocrolus, it provides a broader, data-driven perspective on borrower behavior.
The first release under Ocrolus intelligence is loan inquiries, a feature that shows how frequently and recently a merchant has applied for funding across the Ocrolus network. This helps underwriters detect potential stacking, gauge borrower urgency, and understand merchant tenure, all within the same workflow used for cash flow analysis.
Target users
- Underwriters and credit analysts: Use loan inquiries to evaluate merchant borrowing behavior, frequency, and recency as part of your underwriting workflow.
- Developers: Access Loan Inquiries data programmatically through the Ocrolus API to integrate behavioral risk insights into credit models or internal dashboards.
Accessing the Ocrolus intelligence tab
You can find Ocrolus intelligence within any SMB Book:
-
Login to the Dashboard.
-
Open a Book in the Ocrolus Dashboard.
-

Tip
If you don’t see it, contact your Account Manager to confirm feature access.
Understanding loan inquiries
Loan inquiries provides a timeline of the merchant’s previous loan applications as recorded by Ocrolus. All data is anonymized and reflects the merchant’s history up to the exact timestamp when the current Book was created.
This helps underwriters answer questions like:
- Is this merchant applying across multiple lenders at once?
- When did Ocrolus first see this merchant on the platform?
- How recently have they applied for other loans?
To learn more, see the loan inquiries section.
Using Ocrolus intelligence
Ocrolus intelligence can be accessed through both the Ocrolus Dashboard and the API. Choose the guide that matches your workflow:
- Dashboard guide: Learn how to view and interpret loan Inquiries data directly within a Book, including the top bar summary, application velocity table, and loan inquiries table.
- API guide: Learn how to retrieve loan inquiries data programmatically using
loan_inquiriesobject from the Book Summary API to integrate application velocity and history into your internal models.
