Encore extends the Ocrolus platform to help small business lenders say yes more often. By securely sharing decision-ready borrower profiles with trusted partners, Encore enables lenders to capture more revenue, accelerate time to fund, and protect key relationships.

Each merchant cash flow profile includes standardized Ocrolus cash flow analytics, fraud checks, industry classification, and original documents—allowing senders to share with confidence and recipients to fund faster with less friction. Encore gives partners a smarter, faster way to grow.

Who this guide is for

  • Senders: Brokers who share borrower profiles with funder partners; lenders with a direct program who share turn-down leads with partners.
  • Receivers: Lenders who review and make underwriting decisions on incoming merchant cash flow profiles.

Getting started

  • Accessing Encore: This feature is available in the Ocrolus Dashboard and via the API.
  • User roles & permissions: This feature has the following user roles:
    • Senders share borrower profiles.
    • Receivers are notified via webhook and push notification in the Dashboard and are able to accept or reject shared profiles with the option to see a preview of the cash flow data.
    • Only authorized users (admin accounts and API users) can receive and make decision on the shared cash flow profiles.
  • Partner management: Sharing and receiving are restricted to trusted partners on your allowlist, which is a double-opt-in list managed by Ocrolus on your behalf. Both parties must approve access before sharing via Encore is enabled.
  • Sharing basics: Each merchant cash flow profile (also known as an Encore Book or application) includes detailed Ocrolus cash flow analytics, fraud checks, industry classification, and original documents built on bank statements and Plaid JSON in the current release. Additionally, recipients will also get a copy of the underlying bank statements or Plaid JSON that were submitted in the application.
  • Automatic, rejection, acceptance, and receipt: Once sharing is enabled, recipients will be able to accept or reject shared profiles. A preview of cash flow data can be used to help with acceptance or rejection decisioning. Once a Book is accepted, it will automatically be delivered into the recipient’s Ocrolus org.
  • Audit and controls: All shares and acceptances are logged and accessible in the Dashboard or API for reconciliation and compliance. Governance includes role-based permissions, audit trails, and a double-opt-in allowlist.

Best practices

Implement the following best practices to optimize sharing, ensure compliance, and maintain partner trust in Encore:

  • Curate trusted partners: Ocrolus will maintain an allowlist of brokers/lenders for you; let us know whenever you want to update it
  • Protect relationships: Only share with explicit approvals; use double-opt-in to avoid channel conflict.
  • Utilize shared Book label: Senders and recipients can rely on the shared book label to easily map Encore cash flow profiles to original leads sent via typical partner channels (API, portal, or API).

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • Confirm that your organization’s manager accounts have send and receive permissions.
  • Verify that your trusted partners are approved in the allowlist.
  • Set up webhook notifications for automated updates.
  • Audit sharing logs monthly to ensure compliance.
  • Review Ocrolus API documentation for advanced automation.
