Release Notes
This release adds the option to merge wage-earner income across employers, a Document Expiration tab in Inspect for tracking document age against Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac limits, and insurance conditions and insights in Inspect. New APIs let non-Encompass users manage conditions and receive webhook notifications, download a Book’s income analysis as a PDF in a ZIP file, upload MISMO XML, AUS findings XML, credit report XML to a Book, run Docs-to-Digital on a Plaid JSON already uploaded to a Book, and Book ETA tracker. Classify and Capture now support new document types. This release also adds analytics constant, a Book-level NSF and overdraft day count to the Book summary API, new sweep transaction tag, ties the Recommended income tag to the selected investor’s minimum documentation requirements, lets you reorder columns in the Transactions table, and adds new attributes for Closing Disclosure, Loan Estimate, and Pay stub.

Merge income with other employers
Underwriters can now calculate wage-earner income across more than one employer in a single step. On the Wage earner tab, select Merge with other employers, choose the employers to include, the employer name to display, and the income types to average (Base, Overtime, Bonus, Commission, and Misc), and then select Merge employers. Analyze combines the employers into one continuous employment record, sums each selected income type across the employers, and averages it over the full combined employment period. The merged employment record and recalculated income are also reflected in the income worksheet.
This supports union and dispatched workers who receive W-2s and pay stubs from several employers in the same year, and borrowers who changed jobs and whose variable income spans more than one employer. A merge can be reversed with Undo. It applies to wage-earner income only.
To learn more, see the Wage earner income guide.
Doc Expiration tab in Inspect
A new Doc Expiration tab is now available in Inspect. The tab evaluates tracked documents in the loan file against Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac age requirements, measured against the closing date, and assigns each document one of the following statuses: Expired, Recertification needed, Expiring soon, Valid, Unknown, or Pending.
The tab label displays a count badge showing the number of documents that require attention. Where a document is expired, expiring soon, or requires recertification, a condition can be created directly from the document row.
This feature requires the Doc Expiration entitlement and an active Automated Conditions subscription. It applies to conventional and GSE loans only. Importing conditions to Encompass depends on whether the Encompass integration is enabled for the organization.
To learn more, see the Doc Expiration guide.
Conditions API
Non-Encompass clients can now manage loan conditions on an Ocrolus Book programmatically via the following four new REST endpoints:
GET /v2/book/{book_uuid}/conditions: List all conditions on a Book, with
optional status filtering.POST /v2/book/{book_uuid}/conditions: Create a new condition.PUT /v2/book/{book_uuid}/conditions/{condition_uuid}: Partially update an
existing condition.DELETE /v2/book/{book_uuid}/conditions/{condition_uuid}: Soft-delete a
condition. The condition is set toClearedstatus and its history is preserved.
Lenders on other loan origination systems who previously had no programmatic path to conditions can now list, create, update, and remove conditions directly through the API, without using
the Inspect Dashboard.
Two new webhook events are also available to notify your system when conditions change on a Book:
automated_condition.generated: Triggered when automated conditions are successfully generated for a Book.automated_condition.updated: Triggered when one or more automated conditions on a Book are updated.
To learn more, see the Conditions API reference and the Conditions guide.
Income PDF and Income ZIP via API
API-first clients can now generate and download the income analysis PDF for a Book programmatically, without an Encompass eFolder push or a manual Dashboard download. The PDF is delivered in a ZIP archive. The following endpoints are now available:
POST /v2/book/{book_uuid}/income/zip: Start generating the ZIP. Generation is asynchronous. The request returns202with aPROCESSINGstatus and aRetry-Afterheader. If a ZIP for the same options already exists, the request returns200with aCOMPLETEDstatus.GET /v2/book/{book_uuid}/income/zip: Download the ZIP once generation is complete. The request does not start a new job.
Call POST first, then poll GET until it returns 200. To learn more, see Income API documentation.
Upload MISMO XML to Book via API
You can now upload loan data in MISMO (Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization) XML format directly to a Book using the new Upload MISMO XML to Book endpoint, POST /v1/book/upload/mismo.
Send one MISMO XML file per request as a multipart/form-data payload, along with the book_uuid of an existing Book. Ocrolus stores the file and processes it asynchronously. To learn more, see Upload MISMO XML to Book API reference page.
Upload AUS findings XML and credit report XML to a Book via API
If your loan origination system is not Encompass, you can now give Ocrolus Inspect your Automated Underwriting System (AUS) findings and credit report data by uploading their XML files to a Book. To support this functionality, the following two new endpoints are introduced:
POST /v1/book/upload/aus-xml: Upload an AUS findings XML file.POST /v1/book/upload/credit-xml: Upload a credit report XML file.
Inspect uses AUS findings to align conditions with the documentation your AUS requires, and credit report data to generate credit conditions and insights. Together with the MISMO XML upload, this gives Inspect the same loan data an Encompass integration provides.
To learn more, see the Upload AUS findings XML and Upload credit report XML API documentation.
Insurance conditions and insights in Inspect
Inspect now checks homeowners (hazard) insurance and flood documentation on the subject property and automatically generates conditions when something is missing, incomplete, or does not meet agency requirements. The conditions appear in a new Insurance category on the Conditions tab, along with a new insight that flags a homeowners policy whose address does not match the 1003 subject property.
For more information, see Insurance conditions.

Run Docs-to-Digital on an existing Plaid JSON
We've added a new API endpoint that lets you trigger a Docs-to-Digital comparison on a Plaid JSON document that's already uploaded to a Book, without re-uploading the file. This is especially useful when a Plaid JSON was uploaded with upload_intent=add_analytics (or before Docs-to-Digital intent was set), and you now want to compare it against the Book's bank statement data.
The following new API endpoint is available to support this functionality:
| Use case | Method | Endpoint |
|---|---|---|
| Run Docs-to-Digital on an existing Plaid JSON | POST | /v2/book/{book_uuid}/docs-to-digital |
To use this endpoint, get the document UUID of the previously uploaded Plaid JSON from the Book information or Book list endpoint, then call this new endpoint with the Book's book_uuid and the document UUID(s).
To learn more, see the Ocrolus API flow guide and the Run Docs-to-Digital on an Existing Plaid JSON API reference.
Book ETA tracker in the Dashboard
Book ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) is now available in the Ocrolus Dashboard. It gives you a live estimate of how much longer a Book has in verification, based on how long comparable documents are taking right now.
You can see the estimate in the new Verification ETD (Estimated Time of Delivery) column in the Book list and in the Verification block in the Book overview page header. The estimate refreshes automatically, and the Book overview header shows Complete when the Book finishes.
The estimate is for reference only and may change. It does not modify any turnaround times or service levels in your agreement. Book ETA is currently available in the Dashboard only. It is enabled per organization and is rolling out in phases. To enable it for your organization, contact your Account Manager.
To learn more, see the Book ETA tracker guide.

Book-level NSF and overdraft day count
The Book summary API now returns total_nsf_or_overdraft_days_count in the Book-level cash_flow_at_a_glance object. The field counts the distinct days across a Book with at least one NSF or overdraft fee. Each day counts once, however many fees post that day.
To learn more, see the Book summary API page.

Recommended income now requires minimum documentation
Starting October 14, 2026, Ocrolus marks wage-earner income as Recommended only when the file includes the minimum documentation for the selected investor's manual income and employment guidelines: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, or USDA. The requirements vary by investor, income type, and employment history.
| Aspect | Before October 14, 2026 | From October 14, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| What the tag was based on | The documents and income trends in the file, whatever was available | The minimum documentation requirements for the selected investor |
| When it appeared | Even when documents were missing, for example when a file had pay stubs but not the prior years' W-2s | Only when the required minimum documents are in the file |
| What it indicated | The method that best fit what Ocrolus could see, from a limited review of income | The same suggested method, tied to a documentation standard |
The income calculations did not change. Ocrolus still calculates and displays every method, and only the Recommended tag depends on the documentation. The tag is not an underwriting decision and is separate from rep and warranty. To learn more, see the Recommended income guide.

Reorder columns in the Transactions table
You can now drag the columns in the Transactions table into the order that best fits your review. Select and hold the ··· handle in a column header, drag the column to its new position, and release it at the drop indicator. Ocrolus saves your column order in your browser, so it stays in place after you reload the page or sign in again.
To learn more, see the Transactions section guide.
New sweep transaction tag
sweep transaction tagThe Enriched transactions API now includes a new sweep tag in the Transfer category. This boolean tag identifies transactions associated with the movement of funds into or out of sweep accounts. Tagging these transactions separately gives you a clearer view of a business's cash flow. Existing transaction tags and analytics behavior are unchanged, and no action is needed to start receiving the new tag. To learn more, see the Enriched transactions API reference.
